Dossier to China

Today we got a very happy email from CCAI that our dossier is on our way to China!  So now and over the weekend and into next week we will be having the last 6 months of our life passed across the ocean and into the government of China. 

We now wait for the CCCWA to receive our dossier, then log it into their system (LID), and then we wait for Letter of Acceptance (LOA). 

Getting DTC (dossier to China) the last day of May was a wonderful gift!

Just a reminder that if you are local we have a Soap and Bake Sale on Sunday from 10-2pm.

We can't wait to get to Eden.

Bake and Soap Sale on Sunday

This Sunday we are having a local adoption fundraiser!  Come out from 10-2pm at 2345 River Road, Reading, PA 19605.  We are excited to see you there!

We also have friends coming along beside us bringing delicious things like rice crispy treats, apple pie, and breads.  You definitely will want to come out and grab some of these!

A Package to China

Choosing what to send your child is exciting and excruciating.

We only get to send one package.  And there is a lot you wish you could send.  A lot of things you want to shower them with, we want her to know our love.

So as I switched out Emma's winter to spring/summer clothes I had Edmund and Emma pick some of the clothes to send to Eden. 

According to the information we have Eden is only slightly smaller than Emma, so I think these clothes will fit her for the summer and early part of the fall. 

We also wanted to send her a recordable book (we did this with Emma) so that Eden can hear our voices.  Although the words are in English and our words are English we pray that she will hear our love through our voices.

Carefully we chose more items.  A blanket, a stuffed animal, and a photo book of her family.

Edmund picked out the cars and sent the duck, since her file says she likes cars/trucks and ducks. 
Emma chose which of her musical toys she wanted to send.  Eden's file also said she likes music. 

So we tucked all these things into a box and with prayers mailed it off. 

She should have this now.  Or will very soon.  Pray with us for her heart to be prepared for us and us for her.
